Wine Review: This medium purple colored Zinfandel from Once and Future is a real winner. It opens with a blueberry, graphite and cedar bouquet with hints of anise and Dr. Pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and juicy plum blend with notes of cola. We also detected hints of gentle oak, clove and oregano. The finish is dry and its soft medium tannins and acidity stick around for a while, but do not get in the way. The Panel suggest that this Zin could certainly be enjoyed on its own. With food they thought a bacon wrapped filet would be a nice pairing. Enjoy - KWGTP
