Wine Review: This deep purple colored Zinfandel from Once & Future is a big boy. It opens with a blackberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated moderate acidity. It is balanced and fresh. This flavor profile is extracted blackberry and red plum blend with notes of oak and crushed gravel. We also detected hints of black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and moderate sticky tannins linger and last for a very long time. The Panel would pair this hearty Zin with burnt ends or a ribeye steak. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Green and Red Zinfandel has a deep colored wine's aroma redolent of plums, cherries, and black pepper. There is a touch of the vanilla and toast of French oak that is beautifully balanced with the ethereal perfumed scents associated with this elevated site. Full and rich in the mouth with pleasing freshness punctuated by fine supportive tannins. Delicious now, this wine will continue to give pleasure to the drinker for many years.
