Wine Review: This medium garnet colored Zinfandel from Once & Future opens with black raspberry and strawberry bouquet with hints of allspice and peach. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with zesty medium plus acidity. This flavor profile is red plum and mild graphite blend with notes of black raspberry, clove, and star anise. We also detected a hint of raisin in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger for quite a while. The Panel would pair this Zin with a tangy Carolina pulled pork platter or lamb chops. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Oakley Road Zinfandel has aromatics that are a harmonious mix of black raspberries and pomegranates mingling with hints of vanilla, allspice and sandalwood. The wine is full in the mouth with sweet raspberry/cherry flavors. The finish is juicy, long, and punctuated by the lovely silky tannin finish that define these Oakley own rooted sandy soil wines.
