Wine Review: This clear dark red colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a cinnamon and black cherry bouquet with hints of red plum, juniper, and menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and restrained. The flavor profile is flinty minerality and oak blend with notes of mild blueberry and red plum. We also detected hints of black tea, cranberry, and cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and its polished mild tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this food friendly Zin with steak tartare or with a black and blue burger. Enjoy - KWGTP
