Wine Review: This clear medium ruby colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a very fragrant black raspberry and leather bouquet with hints of teaberry gum, red currant, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, bold, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is spiced red raspberry and graphite blend with notes of cranberry and oak. We also detected hints of red licorice, chai tea and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and its fine medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Zin with coq au vin or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy - KWGTP
