Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah opens with a black raspberry and plum bouquet with hints of vanilla, clove, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is acai berry and stony mineral blend with notes of black tea and red plum. We also detected hints of cola. The finish is dry and its refined tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah with Emeril’s spicy root beer and bourbon glazed baby back ribs or with cowboy coffee rub grilled pork chops. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This blend of Syrah, Viognier and Grenache offers a complex medley of aromas that include black cherry, plum, dried wildflowers, milk chocolate and holiday spices, as well as deeper undertones of forest floor, sandalwood, moist earth, and cured meat. On the palate, the tannins are plush, and the flavors are rich and ripe with juicy acidity carrying the wine to a lush, fruit filled finish.
