Wine Review: This clear and deep red colored Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall opens with a gentle red cherry and birch beer bouquet with hints of red licorice, teaberry, and rose petals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, gentle, and refined. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and teaberry blend with notes of red cherry and green tea. We also detected hints of cedar, lingonberry, and clove. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium tannins drift away. We would pair this Pinot with a roasted pork tenderloin Pinot Noir cherry sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This one–time moonshiner site, deep in the Sonoma Coast hills, was planted by Charlie Chenoweth to a large array of high–quality Pinot Noir selections. Highly intense aromas of bright red fruits, pepper, and loam speak to this vineyard’s high quality. This immaculate farming translates to a highly concentrated core – muscular, yet supple – that has a broad, coating effect on the palate. The finish gives nuances of toast, savory jerky, seared honey. Lazer like focus of acidity threads the wines components to a taught, luxurious whole. This 2022 is particularly voluminous and will thusly develop in bottle for over a decade.
