Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall opens with a rose petals and red cherry bouquet with hints of teaberry gum, craisin, and forest floor. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild strawberry and stone dust blend with notes of red cherry and cinnamon. We also detected hints of cranberry, black pepper, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle fine-grained tannins fade away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with a pork shoulder roast with herbs and garlic or with a rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Chenoweth Ranch is planted to a mix of Dijon clones that deliver one of the juiciest, richest wines in our single vineyard lineup. Savory aromas of wet rock, a dashing man's cologne and sandalwood meld with a refined red plum and dark cherry purity. The palate of this 2022 bottling is profound, giving layer upon layer of fine grain, almost filagree tannins. Powerful and persistent yet elegant. Past bottlings of this vineyard designate Pinot Noir have resulted in 15+ years of graceful ageing, and this vintage will follow suit.
