Wine Review: This slightly hazy white gold colored Chardonnay from Patz & Hall opens with a shy green apple bouquet with hints of lemon, crushed seashells, and vanilla bean. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, creamy and delicate. The flavor profile is a gentle pear and light oak blend with notes of pineapple and lemon. We also detected hints of toasted almond, chamomile tea and chalky minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are pleasantly extended. We would pair this versatile Chard with Emeril’s crab cakes or with a seafood casserole. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Durell Vineyard Chardonnay displays richness to its core. The effusive, baked apple, almost toasted sugar notes lend an inviting opulence to the nose. On the palate there is a broadness and density of perfectly ripe tree fruits which bestows a succulence, along with acid tension to balance richness. Although the wine is dry, there is an unctuous brioche opulence to the finish, which puts this among the pantheon of classic, ripely-styles California Chardonnays. (Unfined and Unfiltered)
