Wine Review: This slightly hazy and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Paul Hobbs opens with a fragrant and intoxicating black cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of black raspberry, red licorice, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a raspberry tea and gentle tobacco blend with notes of licorice, cranberry, and oak. We also detected hints of stony minerality and pomegranate. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its polished medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with grilled venison steak or with a pan-seared duck breast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: With a dazzling ruby hue, this wine captivates from the first glance. Enticing aromatics of pomegranate, cherry, and warming spice weave through subtle notes of white pepper. Wild strawberry and dark raspberry whirl across the palate with delicate touches of vanilla bean and river stone. The wine’s vibrant energy is beautifully balanced by its plush texture, as coastal acidity and velvety tannins culminate on the lengthy finish.
