Wine Review: This slightly cloudy dark ruby colored Syrah from Pax is excellent! It opens with a stewed red plum and red licorice bouquet with hints of pencil lead, pine, and dark cocoa. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh and easy drinking. The flavor profile is mulberry, stony minerality, and black plum blend with notes of cinnamon and red licorice. We also detected some hints of mild dried cherry, tea, and old oak. The finish is dry, and its dusty fine tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would sip this Syrah after dinner with tiramisu. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Sweet purple flowers, pink peppercorns, blueberry liqueur, white pepper, and exotic high toned fruit pastilles. Plush blue fruits on the pallet, spicy with high toned red fruits and swirling aromas of earth, umami, and fresh summer fruits. Intense and vibrant, this is going to stay fresh and lively for many years into the future and improve with time in your cellar.
