Wine Review: This yellow colored Albarino from Rias Baixas is very good. It opens with a wet stone and cantaloupe like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a little lush. The flavor profile is a mineral infused apple and pear blend with a hint of ginger and dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Albarino would pair well with baked ham with pineapple. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fleshy and dry, offering concentrated bitter pear skin and honeydew flavors and a touch of green tea. Finishes smooth and very long, with building spiciness and a late kick of dusty minerality. This wine went through a partial malolactic fermentation and aged for five months on its lees.
