Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Grenache based from Perrin opens with mild blueberry bouquet with hints of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant with notes of nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of blackberry, oak and cola. The finish is dry and flavors drift away nicely. This gem is very reasonably priced given the quality. It would pair very nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Nearly black with purple undertones. Nose: Spectacular, very complex, intense and deep notes of gentian, licorice, cyprus trees and pink pepper. Mouth: Powerful and very structured with dense tannins. Service: The ideal match for this wine is a leg of venison with sauteed potatoes with onions and garlic.
