Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Peter Zemmer opens with a crushed seashell and grapefruit pith bouquet with hints of pineapple, pear, and lime. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, bright, and zesty. The flavor profile is lemon-lime and green apple blend with notes of white pepper and white grapefruit. We also detected hints of green tea, stony minerality, and a touch of pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this Chard with fried calamari or fettuccine alfredo. Enjoy - Ken & Joe
Winemaker Notes: Color: Greenish yellow.
Bouquet: Characteristic, fruity of ripe banana and pineapple.
Flavor: Fresh, juicy, mineral, with a pleasant fullness.
A wine with a broad and colorful palette of fruit aromas. Juicy, tasty and with an inviting and long-lasting persistence.
Recommended pairings: Very versatile, excellent with first courses, from vegetable minestrone to spaghetti with clams; exceptional with fish dishes or white meat.
