Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet opens with a musty oak, pineapple and pear bouquet. We also picked up some hints of cardamom, and butter. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and smooth with integrated plus acidity. The flavor profile is a mild oak and lemon blend with notes of chamomile tea and white grapefruit. We also detected a hint of peach pit towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are refreshing and nicely prolonged. The Panel suggested pairing this Chard with chicken cordon bleu or with a roasted Cornish game hen with garlic, herbs and lemon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Chassagne-Montrachet is very linear with apple, quince and pear notes that are focused and refined. Beautifully structured, the bright acidity is balanced with a creamy, lingering finish.
