Wine Review: This very dark ruby Shiraz colored opens with a fragrant black raspberry liquor bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and very juicy. The flavor profile is a blackberry and black currant blend with notes of dusty minerality. There were also hints of boysenberry and old oak as well towards the end. This wine does benefit from a little aeration. So I would decant it and serve it with braised short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In an age of instant gratification, the Pillar Box is a stoic reminder of the virtues of patience. The act of writing and sending a letter is matched by the anticipation of the receiver. An expressive wine with aromas of cherry, caraway seed and spearmint. It displays integrated flavours of aniseed, blackberry and plum.
