Wine Review: This almost clear colored Chenin Blanc and Viognier blend is a very good value. It opens with a fragrant yellow grapefruit and lime zest bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and flavors. The flavor profile is a mild grapefruit and lemon blend with hints of cantaloupe and peach tea towards the end. The finish is off-dry and pleasantly refreshing. Winemaker Notes: Crisp, bright, and vivacious, CB+V 2018 is an aromatic white blend boasting a bouquet of honeysuckle and orange blossoms along with tropical fruit aromas of lychee and pineapple complemented by green apple, lemon, and grapefruit. The entry is bright and fresh, exhibiting flavors of fresh ginger, ruby grapefruit, lemon curd, and Granny Smith apples. While this is a fresh, juicy wine, it has an incredible midpalate weight with zesty acidity carrying the flavors through to the lengthy finish. This versatile wine pairs well with a number of dishes, from light salads to seafood, and most notably with foods with a hint of spiciness.
