Wine Review: This light yellow colored carricante from sicily opens with light lemon and ginger ale like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, round and juicy. Its mouthwatering flavors feature lemon verbena with some infused minerality and chamomile tea. There are also hints of almond and a touch of honey mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. I would pair this wine with grilled swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Carricante grapes from Etna experience a combination of black sand and altitude provide distinct aromas and three-dimensional flavors. Notes of white acacia flowers, fresh almonds and mountain peaches, on the palate it is juicy and full of hints of yellow plums and prickly pear. Perfect with raw fish, fresh fruit and soft cheese.
