Wine Review: This red cherry colored Frappato opens with a strawberry and red cherry bouquet with hints of red plum and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty slightly tart red plum with notes of strawberry and pomegranate. I also detected hints of green tea along with a touch of red cherry, blueberry and bay leaf. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Frappato is easy to drink and will go down fast when served slightly chilled on a hot day. I would pair it with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Winemaker Notes: Ruby red with mauve reflections. The notes of rose and candied violet are typical, with a elegant smoky tone. In the mouth much red fruit with balsamic tones. Pair with spaghetti alla Bolognese and lasagna. It's even ideal with cheeseburgers.
