Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay from Italy opens with a fragrant and attractive pineapple and melon bouquet with hints of bread dough and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. We also found it to be smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty pineapple and gentle lemon zest blend with notes of oak, green apple and almond. We also detected a hint of melon. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very nice Chard with creamy Chicken Francese or a pork roast. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Starting from the richness of its deep clear golden but transparent color one imagines the pleasing contrast of creaminess and crispness in the taste. It is indeed a soft white wine underlaid by a refreshing acid vein which accompanies each mouthful. A slight mineral suggestion combines harmoniously with the flavor of ripe yellow peaches, acacia honey and marzipan and with some peaty, cereal and toasted aromas which precede the powerful balanced finish. Try it with some just seared foie gras or with roast veal and mushroom sauce.
