Wine Review: This fresh, pale salmon colored Rose from the island of Sicily in Italy is very fragrant with aromas of strawberry creme, watermelon, rose petals and cantaloupe. It is a blend of Syrah, Nero d'Avola, and a touch of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, it is medium bodied with lively plus acidity. It has a nice round and satiny mouthfeel with good balance. This Rose has flavors of red cherry, red apple, almonds, and wet stone, along with notes of savory biscuits and saline. The very refreshing finish lingers for a while. Serve slightly chilled with a broccoli salad with grapes and almonds. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: A color that perfectly expresses the mood: pearl pink, like the inner shell layer of an oyster. Aromas of small pastries, currants, Sicilian wild strawberries; deeper hints of plum and pineapple. Very supple, with just a hint of acidity. Extremely pleasant taste, it does not tire and drives you to another sip. Ideal with Sicilian street food. Also perfect with fried fish and seafood. Better yet if with a sea view.
