Wine Review: The dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Italy opens with a blackberry and black currant bouquet with hints of violets and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is stony minerality, blackberry and black olive blend with notes black tea. I also detected hints of black pepper and black currant. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine is a bit young now and benefits from some aeration. I would decant it for a bit before pairing it with steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken
