Wine Review: This clear and pale hay colored Albariño from the state of Virginia opens with a mild citrus bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky smooth, slightly zesty, and fresh. The flavor profile is chalky minerality and lime zest blend with notes of white pepper and saline. I also detected hints of nectarine pit, stone dust, and grapefruit pith. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely.
