Wine Review: This pitch black colored blend from Priest Ranch was held back for a reason. It's a very big wine that opens with a blackberry and graphite bouquet with a hint of saddle leather and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, savory and very fruit forward. This is especially unique, for the 2014 vintage. The flavor profile is similar to the nose, featuring blackberry and graphite with notes of cedar and ripe blueberry. I also detected some hints of black tea, black licorice and a little plum mixed in. The finish is lengthy with its fruit and sticky moderate tannins lingering for quite some time. This wine is a big boy! I would decant it as its settles in nicely with some air. That said, I would still drink it on its own. If you insist on some food, pair it with Kerrygold's Dubliner cheese and some stone wheat thin crackers. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Coach Gun delivers scents of vanilla bean and black cherry on the nose. On the palate, there are hints of licorice, blackberry, and roasted coffee bean. The wine is rich in color and delivers velvety soft tannins on the finish.
