Wine Review: This clear and very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Priest Ranch opens with a mild gooseberry and green tea bouquet with hints of lime zest and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty gooseberry and saline blend with notes of lime and green tea. I also detected hints of chalky minerality, white pepper, and honeydew melon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with crispy fried calamari. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc opens with a bouquet of elderflowers, yellow peach, and lemon zest. It leads to a crisp and refreshing palate, with a balanced finish of tropical fruit and a hint of grapefruit juice. This wine can be a fantastic match with a goat cheese salad or fresh oysters!
