Wine Review: This clear and pale hay colored Sauvignon Blanc from Priest Ranch opens with a lime zest and grapefruit pith bouquet with hints of cut grass. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a yellow grapefruit pith and lemon-lime blend with notes of white pepper and white peach. I also detected hints of green tea and stony minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger for quite some time. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with oysters. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc opens with bright and refreshing notes of white peach, honeydew, fresh-cut pineapple, and a touch of lime zest. Subtle notes of brioche help enhance the fresher fruit while supporting the mineral crispness. A zippy quality races through the palate, creating layers of complex notes like grapefruit pith, mango, and passionfruit.
