Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored blend from Portugal opens with a macerated black cherry and fig bouquet with hints of dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and black plum blend with notes of oak. I also detected hints of currant as well. The finish is dry, and its gentle tannins linger nicely. This very good value and crowd-pleasing wine will be well received at your holiday parties. Enjoy – Ken
