Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored "Vintage Port" opens with a fig, green olive and cinnamon bouquet with hints of strawberry and raspberry tart. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a green olive and stewed red plum blend with notes of cinnamon stick, oolong tea and fig along with a hint of chocolate in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate refined tannins are nicely prolonged. This Port would pair well with Lindt's 70% Cacao Excellence Dark Bar. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Quinta de la Rosa Vintage 2017 is a wine with enormous concentration where you can immediately appreciate its deep violet color and its great aromatic intensity. Very complex, its aromas and flavors are dominated by a dark berry fruit and exuberance with floral elements and on the palate a dense intensity of flavors without losing any of its energy and freshness. Well-structured like any great declared Vintage port that will guarantee its evolution and development over many decades but, at the same time, it is so seductive and full bodied that it is difficult to resist from drinking it immediately. The Vintage will age well for many decades but can be appreciated when young. Drink as a digestif with cheese, chocolates or on its own.
