Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored wine from Portugal opens with a blackberry and black olive bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral and blackberry blend with notes of oak and olive with a hint of black plum towards the end. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. This Portuguese red would pair very nicely with a bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Fresh, focused aromas of red fruits with a discreet suggestion of vanilla. Refreshing fragrance of pine-needles. Full and generous palate with ripe, plummy and black cherry fruit flavors. Expressive, spicy tannins wrapped in the weighty structure. Long, satisfying finish.
