Wine Review: This medium straw colored Alvarinho (Albarino) from Portugal opens with a fragrant nectarine pit and yellow grapefruit bouquet with hints of ocean breeze and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied and mouthwatering with zesty plus acidity. The flavor profile is a tart yellow grapefruit and chalky mineral blend with notes of lemon and quinine. There are also some hints of green apple, almond and salinity towards the end. The finish is dry and refreshing. We would pair this Alvarinho with sushi or linguini with a white wine, garlic and clam broth. Enjoy – Ken and Joe
