Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) opens with a fig and cigar box bouquet with hints of molasses. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, well-balanced, and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is fig, old oak, and oolong tea. I also detected steely minerality. There were also hints of faint raisin and cinnamon detected as well. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. I would pair this rustic styled Tinta Roriz with a Brazilian skirt steak with golden garlic butter. Enjoy – Ken
