Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chenin Blanc from South Africa is a very good value. It opens with a Bosc pear and gentle pineapple bouquet with a hint of vanilla and chamomile. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, juicy, and fresh. The flavor profile is a saline, crushed stone, and lemon-lime blend with hints of quince and green apple. The finish is dry and refreshing. This is Chenin is an affordable and very nice summer wine. Grab some and bring it to the beach this summer. Serve it slightly chilled with sunshine and oysters. Enjoy - Ken
