Wine Review: This clear white gold colored Chardonnay from Raen opens with a pineapple and light oak bouquet with hints of white peach, lemon verbena, and baked pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, crisp, and fresh. The flavor profile is lemon verbena and white peach blend with notes of pineapple and lime zest. We also detected hints of saline and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this versatile and food friendly Chard with a baked halibut with a lemon butter sauce or with oysters on the half shell. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This bottling is dedicated to our grandmother Marjorie, who will always be a bright light of inspiration for us. Lady Marjorie Chardonnay hails from the rocky soils of the true Sonoma Coast, resulting in a wine of incredible depth and vibrancy. The wine fills the bowl with floral notes of lemon zest, crushed gravel, white and yellow flowers, honeysuckle, and just-ripe nectarine. On the palate, these aromas come together with notes of zesty lime blossom and stone fruits, all integrated seamlessly with a bright backbone of wet rock-minerality, and subtle notes of salinity that all lead to an incredibly bright and persistent finish.
