Wine Review: This pleasant Chardonnay from the Finger Lakes in New York is a buttery yellow color. On the nose I found apple, pineapple, matchstick and light citrus along with mild oak. On the palate it has a medium body, crisp medium-plus acidity, a round and slightly creamy mouthfeel, and is balanced and dry. There are flavors of pear, white peach, fig, vanilla, oak, lemon zest and light minerality. The long finish has some citrus and nutty notes. Pair with roast Cornish game hen. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: A dynamic chardonnay, bursting with baked apples, lemon zest and cloves. Restrained use of French oak, creamy textural components and a saline minerality provides lovely precision and balance along a lengthy, energetic finish.
