Wine Review: This dark red colored Merlot based blend opens with a black cherry bouquet with hints of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced black cherry with notes of oak and black currant. I also detected some hints of espresso and black olive. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins fade away nicely. This wine would pair well with a grilled bison burger with Cabernet onions and Wisconsin cheddar. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our inaugural vintage of our Napa Valley Reserve Red Wine opens with bright aromas of raspberry and cherry with a touch of anise. Red fruit flavors continue through to the palate and are highlighted by blueberry and freshly cracked white pepper. This is a well-balanced wine with good acidity and juicy but, firm tannins. The mouthfeel is velvety in texture and the finish is long and satisfying.
