Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from Red Newt is Excellent and one of the best dry Rieslings I have tried so far this year. It opens with a ginger and pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with bright acidity and freshness. There is also a pleasant roundness on the mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle lime and chalky mineral blend layered with notes of mild pineapple and saline along with a hint of mild grapefruit. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Riesling is drinking beautifully now and unfolds nicely if you let it breath. It will pair perfectly with broiled scallops. It is an absolute steal! If you like dry Riesling, call the winery and secure some quickly! Enjoy - Ken
