Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling from Red Newt opens with an Anjou pear bouquet with hints of granny smith apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, off-dry and a tad tangy. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. Tart granny smith apple and Anjou pear flavors are forward, with gentle minerality and lime notes in the background. The finish remains off-dry and its flavors and gentle acidity linger nicely. This Riesling is food friendly and would pair well with grilled swordfish kabobs. Enjoy – Ken
