Wine Review: This ruby red colored Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes opens with a black raspberry and blackberry bouquet with herbal notes and light oak. The medium body is juicy, dry, and bold with bright acidity and managed tannins. The flavor profile is a slightly tart cranberry, cherry, plum, and black pepper blend with notes of light black tea and strawberry. The dry finish and its managed tannins stick around before fading away nicely. I would recommend pairing this Cab Franc with beef bolognese. – Joe

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 "Classic Label" Cabernet Franc aims for a pure expression of Cabernet Franc in the Finger Lakes by using only stainless steel rather than oak. Bright cherry and violet fruit on the nose underlain by mineral tension in the midpalate, in many ways this wine uses Cru Beaujolais as a touchstone. Refreshing to drink, it stands as a joyous counterpoint to the influence of oak that our single vineyard Cabernet Franc requires.
