Wine Review: This gold colored Riesling ice wine from Red Newt opens with a ginger and honey bouquet with hints of lychee and apricot. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, creamy, and viscous. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features delicious ginger, honey, lychee, and quince. There are also hints of pineapple, poached pear, and orange marmalade in the mix. It is quite complex. The finish is pleasantly sweet, and its flavors have extraordinary length. The Panel would drink this gem on its own. With food we would pair this Excellent Riesling based dessert wine with bread pudding or a flan. Enjoy – KWGTP
