Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Red Newt opens with a light lime and jasmine bouquet with hints of honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and bright. The flavor profile is green apple, chalky minerality, lemon zest, and ginger blend with notes of light pineapple, lime, and white tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would serve this Riesling with Emeril’s crab cakes or with fried clams. Enjoy – KWGTP
