Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Riley's Rows is very good. It opens with a lemon and light-yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and zesty with lively acidity. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral influenced yellow grapefruit and lime. I also detected hints of white pepper and tangerine. The finish is very refreshing, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. This Sauvignon Blanc would pair very nicely with swordfish kabobs. Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Riley's Rows Sauvignon Blanc offers a bright nose of Papaya and Honeydew Melon. The palate opens with ripe Meyer Lemon and resolves into a delightful Ruby Red Grapefruit note. My goal with this wine is to offer a fresh style of Sauvignon Blanc with pretty fruit, great acidity, and a clean finish.
