Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Riley's Rows opens with a crushed chalk and pineapple bouquet with hints of toasted oak, lemon, and banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral and gentle pineapple blend with notes of green tea and Anjou pear. We also picked up some hints of cinnamon and sweet corn in the mix. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with chilled curried carrot soup or just drink it slightly chilled at the beach.
