Wine Review: This red colored Zinfandel from Risk opens with a red plum and oak bouquet with hints of oolong tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a juicy red plum and mild red raspberry blend with notes of oolong tea and black pepper. I also detected hints of clove and spice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this affordable and friendly Zin with a bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is zesty with aromas of black cherry, black strawberry, potpourri, and dried herbs. The palate offers confiture red currant, simmering spices and hibiscus gliding into malt chocolate and a dry, silky finish. Pair with barbecued pork.
