Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark garnet colored Zinfandel from Robert Biale opens with a red raspberry and cedar bouquet with hints of cinnamon, cola, and orange peel. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry and cedar blend with notes of milk chocolate and blueberry. We also detected hints of sage, clove, and a touch of fig. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle polished tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this Zin with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Notes of raspberry, cedar, currant, and white pepper on the nose. Rich, yet nimble on the palate with vibrant acidity and flavors of orange peel, strawberry preserves, clove, and thyme. The wine finishes with generous length and is framed by the characteristically fine-grained tannins of the Rutherford "dust."
