Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Petite Sirah from Robert Biale opens with a mulberry and cinnamon bouquet with hints of red licorice, sage, oak, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, mouthwatering, and fresh for Petite Sirah. The flavor profile is a mulberry and black plum blend with notes of stone dust, oak, and mushroom. We also detected hints of blackberry, mocha, and clove. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Petite Sirah with Blue Ribbon barbecue brisket or short ribs and Emeril's potatoes. Enjoy - KWGTP
