Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from Robert Biale opens with a mulberry and vanilla bouquet with hints of black plum, old leather, and tomato leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and approachable. The flavor profile is a spiced plum and cocoa powder blend with notes of mulberry. We also detected hints of blueberry and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely.
