Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Riesling from Robert Weil opens with a green apple and white peach bouquet with hints of stone dust. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is a lemon tea and lime blend with notes of stone dust and white peach. I also detected hints of orange zest. The finish is off-dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Riesling with bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A sleek, satisfying and food-friendly Riesling made in the traditional off-dry style of Germany’s famed Rheingau region. It is a cuvée from parcels that neighbor the estate’s top vineyard sites in the villages of Kiedrich and Eltville. A versatile partner at the dinner table, it has an alluring and delicate touch of sweetness paired with tantalizing fruit aromas. It dances on your palate in a perfect pirouette of charm and elegance.
