Wine Review: This medium straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Rodney Strong opens with a mild gooseberry and honeydew melon bouquet with hints of lime and orange bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and nicely balanced with its bright acidity and fresh flavors. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral influenced lime and ginger blend with hints of grapefruit, green apple, saline and a dash of white pepper. The finish is pleasantly refreshing. This very good value Sauvignon Blanc will be a real crowd-pleaser by the pool or at the beach this summer. Serve it slightly chilled. With food, pair it with swordfish or with an arugula salad with grilled scallops. Enjoy – Ken and Joe
