Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rodney Strong opens with a black cherry and blackberry bouquet with hints of cedar, violets, and peonies. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is milk chocolate and slightly tart black plum blend with notes of oolong tea and mint. We also detected hints of green olive, cherry-cola, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate dusty tannins stick around for a little while. We would pair this friendly Cabernet Sauvignon with Colorado rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
