Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah from South Africa opens with a woodsy, earthy, and blueberry bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is an oak infused gentle black currant with hints of black tea and truffle. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are fine and quite lengthy. The panel suggested pairing this Syrah with lamb stew or pot roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This stunning Syrah boasts beautiful aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, and pepper that follow through on the lengthy palate. Well integrated tannins and seductive hints of mocha, earth, and spice add to the complexity of this eponymous bottling from Thelema winemaker Rudi Schultz.
